This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, minimizing operational risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture aligned with corporate standards and business objectives.The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing experience, strong technical knowledge, and a proven track record of driving measurable improvements in workplace safety, environmental performance, and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesEHS Program LeadershipDevelop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with local, national, and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and corporate standards.Drive standardization and scalability of EHS practices across manufacturing operations.Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety performance and environmental outcomes.Regulatory Compliance & AuditsEnsure full compliance with all applicable EHS regulations and standards.Oversee internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.Maintain required documentation, permits, and compliance records.Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and third-party auditors.Risk Management & Incident PreventionConduct comprehensive risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and environmental impact evaluations.Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Monitor key EHS performance metrics (TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting) and drive targeted improvements.Manufacturing Operations SupportPartner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate EHS into production processes.Provide guidance on safe equipment design, process changes, and new product introductions.Support facility expansions, new site launches, and capital projects with EHS expertise.Environmental & Sustainability ProgramsManage environmental programs including waste management, hazardous materials handling, air emissions, and water compliance.Support corporate sustainability and ESG initiatives through data tracking and performance improvements.Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.Training & Safety CultureDevelop and deliver EHS training programs tailored to manufacturing personnel and leadership.Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, leadership coaching, and behavioral-based safety programs.Drive accountability at all levels of the organization.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering field.Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in Environmental Health & Safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).Demonstrated experience implementing and managing EHS programs in a production setting.Proven ability to lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.PreferredExperience in electronics manufacturing or contract manufacturing environments.Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH, or CHMM.Experience supporting multi-site or global EHS programs.Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.Key CompetenciesStrong leadership and team development skillsStrategic thinking with hands-on execution capabilityData-driven decision making and analytical mindsetExcellent communication and stakeholder managementChange management and continuous improvement focusAbility to influence across all levels of the organizationSuccess MetricsReduction in recordable incidents and lost-time injuriesAudit performance and regulatory compliance resultsImproved safety engagement and culture indicatorsEffectiveness of hazard identification and risk mitigation programsEnvironmental compliance and sustainability performanceBENEFITS PACKAGE WITH JABILCompetitive compensation planMedical, Dental, Prescription Drug, and Vision Insurance with HRA and HSA options401K matchEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementLife, AD&DJBL TA - Job Requisition Process Status, and Disability InsuranceCommuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramPet InsuranceAdoption AssistanceAnnual Merit IncreasesCommunity Volunteer OpportunityBE AWARE OF FRAUD: When applying for a job at Jabil you will be contacted via correspondence through our official job portal with a jabil.com e-mail address; direct phone call from a member of the Jabil team; or direct e-mail with a jabil.com e-mail address.
