Job Summary
Pediatric Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) located in Wisconsin. This role involves providing independent peri-anesthetic management for complex pediatric surgical and procedural patients in a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center. The position requires a skilled RN with pediatric PACU experience and expertise in telemetry monitoring.

Job Details

• Position Type: Recovery Room Pediatrics Pediatric PACU RN
• Shift Details: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Brooklyn License (WI RN or compact RN license), BLS, PALS, at least 2 years of pediatric PACU experience, Epic charting system experience, telemetry testing passing, and minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience within last 3 years in relevant specialty
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, community hospital experience, trauma level II or higher experience, pediatric charting experience
• Responsibilities include managing pediatric patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions, utilizing advanced airway assessment, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, narcotics/opioid analgesics, and other specialized pediatric peri-operative procedures
• Additional information: Candidates must pass strict pass/fail telemetry testing with two attempts and submit proof of successful cardiac interpretation review if failing twice. Travelers will be required to float as needed and must meet the local rule of being located within 50 miles of the facility.
